Terms of sale

1. Research use only

All products sold by Onyx Bioscience are supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research and development. They are not intended for, and may not be used in, humans or animals. They are not for diagnostic, therapeutic, veterinary, cosmetic, food, or dietary supplement use.

Products are not drugs and have not been evaluated by the United States Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory agency for safety, efficacy, or any use. Nothing on this website or in any communication from Onyx Bioscience constitutes medical advice, a recommendation for use, or a claim of therapeutic benefit.

2. Not for human consumption

Products are labeled and sold as research chemicals. They are not for human consumption, ingestion, injection, inhalation, or topical application of any kind. Onyx Bioscience does not provide, and will not provide, instructions, protocols, or guidance relating to administration of any product to a living organism.

3. Researcher attestation

By placing an order, the purchaser represents and warrants that they are a qualified researcher, laboratory, educational institution, or reseller supplying such entities; that they have the training and facilities to handle research chemicals safely; and that the products will be used solely for lawful research purposes in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Onyx Bioscience reserves the right to request documentation supporting this attestation and to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion.

4. Age requirement

Purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. By placing an order the purchaser confirms that they meet this requirement. Orders found to be placed by anyone under 21 will be cancelled.

5. Resale

Resellers who purchase from Onyx Bioscience agree to pass these research-use-only terms through to their own customers, to maintain research-use-only labeling, and to make no human-use claims in connection with the products.

6. Handling and storage

The purchaser is solely responsible for safe handling, storage, and disposal of products in accordance with applicable laboratory safety standards. Product-specific storage guidance on this site describes conditions for maintaining the material's analytical integrity and is not a safety data sheet.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onyx Bioscience disclaims all warranties, express or implied, other than the lot-specific analytical results stated on the published certificate of analysis. Onyx Bioscience shall not be liable for any damages arising from use, misuse, or inability to use any product. The purchaser assumes all risk and liability resulting from possession, use, or resale of the products.

8. Changes to these terms

Onyx Bioscience may update these terms at any time. The version posted on this page at the time of an order governs that order. Full company details, governing law, and return policy will be published here before the first online order is accepted.
